Model 10:    Platinum RTD Sensors
1000 Ohm Platinum RTD

Description

Platinum Resistance Temperature Devices have proven to be a very stable, repeatable, and accurate means of measuring temperature.  The 1000-Ohm platinum RTD provides ten times the sensitivity of a traditional 100-Ohm RTD and is less susceptible to connection wire resistance.

Key Features

bullet

Class A Platinum RTD with leads

bullet

1000 Ohm at 0oC

bullet

Tolerance: DIN EN 60751 Class A

bullet

Range: -50oC to +250oC

bullet

Dimension: 5 x 2.5 x 0.65 mm (LxWxH)

bullet

Specifications

1000 Ohm RTD, 385 DIN A

1000± 0.06% Ohm RTD @ 0°C, a = 0.00385 W /W /°C

100 Ohm RTD, 385 DIN A

100± 0.06% Ohm RTD@ 0°C, a = 0.00385 W /W /°C

Stability

Better than 0.1 F per 5 years in air environment

Self Heating

4.3 mW/°C in still air

Operating Current

1 mA maximum in still air for <0.3 °C self heating

Functional Behavior

Rt = R0(1 + AT + BT2 - 100CT3 + CT4)

Rt = Resistance in Ohms at temperature T in °C

R0 = Resistance in Ohms at 0°C

T  = Temperature in °C

C = 0 for T ³ 0°C

For 1000 W RTD: A = 3.81 x 10-3, B = -6.02 x 10-7, C = -6.02 x 10-12

For 100/1000 W RTD, 385 curve, DINA : A = 3.908 x 10-3, B = -5.77 x 10-7, C = -4.183 x 10-12
